For the past two years, Manor Lodge's November meeting has been the Empty Chair Ceremony. Remembering our fallen brethren from the Province of Cheshire.
This is a meeting where we admit those who are no longer with us in spirit, and remember the ultimate sacrifice they made.
The meeting is in high demand among visitors across the province. If you wish to attend, our contact details are listed on the poster.
The visitor dining fee is £25, payable via BACS details provided when confirmed to the secretary.
The Raising of Brother Kyle
Saturday's meeting was all about the candidate. We raised Brother Kyle to the sublime degree of a master mason. As in usual Maror Lodge fashion, the ceremony was executed with precision and care. We had a good number of visitors who made the festive board enjoyable and essentially an extension of the ceremony.
Manor also celebrated its appointments and promotions from the Province of Cheshire.
Manor boasts four Grand Lodge Officers, two of whom are Past APGMs of The Province of Cheshire.
That is some pedigree.
Our November meeting is a special one.
The Empty Chair Ceremony.
Celebrating and remembering the lives of brethren who lost their lives in conflict and paid the ultimate price. Please see the previous post below if you're interested in finding out more.

A Wonderful Raising for
Bro Andrew Davis
We are delighted to raise Bro. Andy Davis, to the sublime degree of a Master Mason, delivered the meeting well, with a fantastic festive board to follow.

The New Season is Upon us.

We begin the new start to our season with a raising. In traditional Manor style, the team has been working hard to ensure it is both memorable and impeccably presented for the candidate.
We look forward to welcoming back our visitors, both old and new. Followed by our festive board, which is always very traditional but a lot of fun too.
If you would like to visit, please contact the secretary.
secretary@manorlodge4202.co.uk
You would be more than welcome and valued.
One of the highlights of our year comes in November. The Empty Chair Ceremony is beautiful, touching, and emotional.
The ceremony is a time to remember Brethren who are no longer with us, who lost their lives in war. The ceremony is enhanced by audio and visual elements, which are very rarely seen in a lodge room. This event is always well attended by our visitors. I would therefore recommend booking for the ceremony via the secretary.
WELCOME BACK.

AREA 1 QUIZ NIGHT
A fantastic success with over 80 people attending. We have raised above £2000 fot the Matthew Lock ADAD suicide cararity, and the man shed mental health charity. The quiz was won by corner stone lodge who will be hosting the event next year with a charity of their choice. This was the first of a kind event that will run every year and the winners will host the following year.

The Installation of Wbro Lee Hunter
Another Year with Manor Lodges, newly elected master W bro. Lee Hunter.
It was a wonderful ceremony with the usual large contingent of visitors to Manor Lodge 4202. We have been under the direction of Wbro Jeff Cunningham who directed the lodge in a phenomenal fashion in his tenure. All our existing officers moved up the ladder, with Wbro Carl Fryer stepping in as JD after only being a member of the lodge for a short time. Under the direction of our DC Paul Massie we see the lodge going from stregnt to strength with attention to detail and lots of practice from our officers.

Manor Lodge Installation

Every February we install the new master of the Lodge, we see Wbro Lee Hunter taking the chair. It is indeed a massive honor and privilege. We have been blessed and give thanks to our outgoing master Jeff Cunnigham, who has served the Lodge for a second tenure and since his first appointment as Master, became a Grand Lodge officer and APGM of the Province of Cheshire.
Please let the secretary know on the Contact Us page if you wish to attend.

Yet Another Successful Manor Social Event
Wirrals Premier Lodge holds another fantastic social event, 30 members and their partners enjoyed a wonderful meal. There were two prospective joining members, seeing that Masonary is about the indelible bonds that Freemasonry sustains.
It's not all about rituals, formal meetings, and aprons. Manor Lodge is so much more than that. It remains a creator of memories.

We welcome our newest member
On Saturday we welcomed our newest member Bro Andrew Davis.
It was a poignant ceremony remembering a departed Brother, and in the true sense of Manor Lodge, Andrew was welcomed into the brotherhood, which would have made those who were not there proud.

The Empty Chair Ceremony.
Our last meeting was the empty chair ceremony.
It was a beautiful event to remember Freemasons who lost their lives in conflict. Members of our own lodge who are ex-servicemen and visitors from across Lancashire and Chesire attended to join us in our remembrance meeting. The feedback was humbling and gratifying and was made extra special by our visitors. The festive board was fitting, with all brethren attending singing traditional English songs and hymns. What made the event was the music supplied by our resident organist W Bro Nick Wooton along with a rendition of an original piece of music from W Bro Jonothan Starky as a response to the visitor's toast.

An Announcement for Remembrance Sunday for Area 1 Wirral

A joining member with an interesting story
Our first meeting back this season is a 1st-degree demonstration. What is unusual is that our candidate actually did his 1st degree 40 years ago. He became an unattached mason and did not progress. Although this will be a demonstration it will be the same as he did 4 decades ago so it will be just as special.
We look forward to welcoming Bro Robin Baynes MBE to the Manor Lodge family
Our newest member Robin Baynes (MBE)
On Saturday, we brought into our lodge our newest joining member Bro Robin Baynes. Robin did his 1st degree over 40 years ago, and now in his tender 80th year, he has returned to our wonderful fraternity. As Robin had been abstinent for so long we performed a 1st degree demonstration ceremony to refresh his mind. Robin was awarded the MBE for his work in charity, he continues to support the young people of Merseyside and is prolific in his dedication and work for others. The ceremony was conducted in an excellent manner and had a profound effect on our new member.
On the 25th of October, we welcome our newest candidate for his initiation, which we look forward to, updates to follow.

A Wonderful Lady's Night

Gaynor and Jeff Cunningham celebrate Jeff's second time through the chair as Worshipful Master, a first in the history of Manor Lodge apart from world events such as War and COVID-19. The hall was full, entertaining 96 guests who thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The entertainment was of the highest standards with lounge singer Paul Parsons, guests danced the evening away. Manor celebrates a fine history boasting two past APGM's who were concurrent in office, 4 Grand Lodge officers, and countless provincial officers. Manor's reputation of excellence continued last night. Photos have been added to the Photo tab where they can be viewed at your lesure.

Wirral Library Community Event

One of our brothers played a part in the community event at Wirral library.
W Bro Nick Wooton
Birkenhead Central Library marked its 90 years on Thursday (July 18) with a special event for invited guests.
A rock choir and a Swing-era band entertained guests as the building celebrated its birthday, which coincides with the 90th anniversary of the opening of Queensway, the first Mersey Tunnel.
The construction of the ‘new’ Birkenhead Central Library and the first Mersey Tunnel were intrinsically linked.
Not only were they opened on the same day by His Majesty King George V – July 18th 1934 – but the funding for the library was provided by the Mersey Joint Tunnel Committee by way of compensation for the loss of the Andrew Carnegie-funded Birkenhead Library, which opened in 1909 situated on Market Place South, that had to be demolished to make way for the Queensway Tunnel entrance.
Around the world on 80 days fund raising

As we know masonry supports charity and good causes, several brothers including the APGM Peter Kellet, PGA Geoff Lloyd, and our very own Neil Mitchleson are doing the Around the World in 80 Days challenge. If you would be kind enough and can donate on the below link that would be fantastic.
